Stephen Lea’s Father

This hybrid LIVE and studio version of my original song was captured at the now-defunct Relish on Danforth. The song is about a childhood friend’s father. On one of many return trips to my home town of Montreal, I dropped into the Snowdon Tavern on Decarie Blvd. Lo and behold, there’s my buddy’s dad, talkin’ slow and steady, smokin’ cigarettes… and drinking. Hard. Much thanks to my LIVE show band including Mike Sedgewick (guitar), the late great Guenther Kapelle (bass), Sergio Faluotico (drums), Jesse Whiteley (keys), Gail Roberts and Kate Roberts (backing vocals. And thanks to Daryl Reyes for his work on the video.
