The inaugural Sapphire Award for Best Canadian Blues Music Video was presented on February 3, 2020 at the Maple Blues Awards celebration at Koerner Hall in Toronto. The Sapphire Award was created and sponsored by Son Roberts and his branding agency, Blade Creative Branding.
Son Roberts had the pleasure of presenting the first place award to Miss Emily for her music video of “Hold Back the River”. The award comes with a $1,500. cash prize.
The second prize was awarded to Terra Hazelton for her video, “Nobody’s Baby” and the third prize was awarded to Lucas Haneman of the Lucas Haneman Express for “Ms. McGrim”. Each of the second and third place winners received a cash prize of $250.
