Fall 2022… a backyard in Scarborough, a breezy, mystical Sunday, and a warm welcome from our host, Angie McKinnon, and her enthusiastic guests… it all put me mind of New Orleans, the origin place of this original tune. Nicky, Ed, Duncan and Martin have performed this tune with me a few times, and our band mates on this day found their spot, too. The imagery of New Orleans comes from a trip Mardi Gras Rose and I took a while back. The Big Easy makes itself hard as hell to forget. I haven’t.
